One way to live with more intention this week – be more courageous.
Try the following steps to help you move beyond fear.

STEP ONE
Recognise that courage is not the absence of fear. It’s ok to feel afraid, but don’t let fear stop you from moving forward.

STEP TWO
Start small. Before tackling your biggest fears, choose one small step that challenges you. Then another after that.

STEP THREE
Get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. Often we want to avoid the difficult emotions that accompany doing something new. Remind yourself that you can handle some discomfort and those feelings will pass pretty quickly.

STEP FOUR
Be open to failing (and letting go of perfectionism). When you’re trying something new, it’s likely you’ll make a few errors along the way. And that’s ok.

STEP FIVE
Find a reason bigger than you. Be brave on behalf of others so that being courageous feels purposeful. Be an advocate for someone who isn’t able to advocate for themselves, be courageous in order to change someone else’s life or support a cause that contributes to others. When your efforts have a positive impact on someone else’s life, it’s so much easier to act with courage.
